What are the options for injectable treatments?
SoCal Lazer & Medi-Spa offers three different injectable treatments for wrinkle reduction, including:
All three injectable treatments are largely similar in their mechanics, with some minor differences in ingredients and result times, which the providers at SoCal Lazer & Medi-Spa review with you. Whatever your choice, each injectable can effectively address the following areas:
- Wrinkles between the eyes
- Crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes
- Horizontal lines on the forehead
How do micro-needling and microdermabrasion work?
Micro-needling techniques are a great option if you want to gain volume, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and tighten the skin in your face by using your body’s natural resources.
SoCal Lazer & Medi-Spa carries the Pollogen Legend+ system, which combines radiofrequency technology and micro-pins to stimulate small muscles and tissue fibers in your face. Once your tissue and muscles are stimulated, your body produces more collagen and elastin. That will increase the elasticity of your skin, adding volume, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is quick — it usually only takes 30 minutes — there’s very limited discomfort, and no downtime.
A microdermabrasion works by “sanding” off the outer layer of skin on your face to thicken the collagen, which adds support to your skin, creating a youthful appearance.
What treatment works best for hair loss?
If you suffer from hair loss or alopecia, SoCal Lazer & Medi-Spa offers a new treatment that combines a microdermabrasion technique with a platelet-rich plasma procedure, or PRP, that has led to great results.
The treatment starts with a microdermabrasion on your scalp to clear away old skin and promote new, healthy collagen. Next, the providers turn to PRP, which is extremely effective in speeding up the healing process. Here’s how PRP works:
- Dr. Ayoub draws a small amount of blood from your body, which is placed into a centrifuge to separate out the platelets.
- Next, he mixes the platelet concentrate back into your plasma, creating a concentrate that’s five to 10 times richer in platelets than your normal blood.
- Finally, Dr. Ayoub injects the platelet concentrate into the area that’s being treated.
Platelets contain hundred of proteins, or growth factors, which help healing and hair growth and by using a concentrate, your body benefits from a faster, more intense healing response.
The end result of combining a microdermabrasion with PRP is that you see better results in a smaller amount of time than traditional hair loss treatments.
